1.Rapid Drilling Speed: Compared to traditional methods (like bucket-auger or cable percussion rigs), rotary rigs are 5 to 10 times faster or more. Their full hydraulic drive and powerful rotary head provide massive torque for effective soil cutting.
2.Continuous Operation: They employ a unique "soil excavation and removal" method. A bucket with a bottom door directly extracts the soil from the borehole, quickly unloads it, and continues drilling. This eliminates the time needed for mud circulation and settlement, enabling near-continuous operation.
3.Modern rigs feature self-propelled systems, hydraulic automatic vertical adjustment, and mast automation (raising/lowering), allowing for quick movement between pile positions, alignment, and leveling.

4.Stable Borehole Walls and High Verticality: The drill pipe is rigid with excellent guidance. Combined with advanced electronic controls (real-time verticality display on the monitor), it ensures high drilling vertical accuracy, effectively preventing deviated holes.
5.Minimal Bottom Sediment: Since soil is directly removed, the residual sediment at the bottom of the hole is far less than with mud circulation methods. This provides a better base for subsequent concrete pouring, ensuring the pile's bearing capacity.
6.Low Disturbance to Surrounding Soil: The smooth drilling process minimizes vibration and impact on the adjacent soil, resulting in a clean, regular-shaped borehole.
7.Significantly Less Slurry Usage: In stable strata (e.g., clay, silt), "dry" or "static mud" methods can be used, requiring only a small amount of slurry to stabilize the borehole wall. This drastically reduces slurry preparation, handling, and disposal.

8.Reduced Environmental Contamination: It avoids the widespread pollution of soil and water caused by large volumes of waste slurry and spoil, aligning with modern green construction standards.

9.Tidy Site Conditions: Excavated soil and rock can be loaded directly onto trucks and hauled away, keeping the site clean and improving the overall image of the construction site.
